This week in Reception, we are using dice to subitise, match patterns and use directional language! We used the floor and plates for a large scale and then counters and a grid for a smaller scale look. ๐ด Iโm thinking chalk and children on the playground next! ๐
Reception class loved the WOW lesson for our new book โ No Dragons for Teaโ. They came to school to see lots of items that had been burnt! What could have done this? Who could have done this? What happened? All will be revealed! ๐๐ฒ
In todays PSHE lesson we talked about our homes and how they are all different. We looked at Dr Seuss story โCome into my houseโ and then built a word bank of the different types of houses we have. Some live in flats, some live in semi-detached and we even have a farm! ๐
As if my little ones have been in school for nearly a full term! Phonics assessments done, writing practise on the go, is it Christmas yet? ๐ #littlewandle#proudteacher#whereitallbegins

Icy weather doesnโt stop our scientists in Year 4! They worked in groups to undertake experiments to see how far they had to move before they couldnโt hear a sound. They proved that sounds get quieter the further we travel away from the source.
Snowflakes and ice last week in Reception. Did this stop us from learningโฆ.absolutely not! We investigated, we studied and we experimented! ๐ฅถโ๏ธ๐จโ๏ธ
