A lot of people think Data Analytics is just dashboards, charts, and Excel.
But Iโm learning that the real value is turning messy data into clarityโand clarity into better decisions
Still learning.building.showing up.
What does Data Analytics mean to you? ๐
#DataAnalytics
This is one of the people who made data analysis feel real to me.
Iโve learned a lot from Kedeishaโs videos, and posts like this remind me that becoming a data analyst is much more than learning Excel, SQL or Power BI.
Iโm learning to think, question and solve problems.
Please do not become a data analyst if you think the job is just dashboards, certificates, and letting AI do the hard parts.
Real data work means asking better questions, finding the root cause, explaining messy numbers to real people, and helping leaders make decisions.
AI can support the work.
It cannot replace your judgment.
That skill comes from real practice with real problems.
If none of this scared you off, DM me โDATAโ and Iโll show you how I went from delivering pizzas to landing a $90K+ data analytics job without a degree or tech background.
@kedeishaindata You are the reason I'm breaking into data I really admire your work
Your YouTube videos have been really impactful
Just started Excel tho๐
Learned why the $ sign matters in Excel today. Drag a formula down without it, and your reference table shifts with it โ total chaos. Add $ before the column/row and it locks in place. That's Absolute Reference. Small symbol, huge difference. #Excel#Aspiring
Then came XLOOKUP โ the modern king of lookups.
It answers 3 questions:
1๏ธโฃ What am I searching for?
2๏ธโฃ Where should I search?
3๏ธโฃ What should I bring back?
Instead of typing values manually, Excel fetches them for you from a reference table. #DataAnalysis
Today's Excel lesson: text functions.
UPPER = ALL CAPS
LOWER = all lowercase
PROPER = Capitalizes Each Word
TRIM = deletes extra/accidental spaces
Small tools, but they're how you keep messy data looking clean and professional. #Excel#LearningInPublic

Another episode of learning data analysis without a laptop until I can get one.
Today we learned text function (UPPER,LOWER,PROPER,and TRIM)and the Lookup Kings (XLOOKUP)
Absolute reference:the ($) fix

This particular exercise taught me that knowing formulas and having strong Excel skills alone doesnโt make you a good analyst. Understanding the question, knowing what the data is telling you, and being able to answer the question accurately are what make you a better analyst.๐ฅ

After the weekend exercise given to me by chat GPT finally finished it and all I can say is I did a great job with the normal Excel formula stuff but the thinking Iike analyst question section got me hooked and unable to move forward so I had to asked for help ๐๐คฆ๐ผ
Its weekend and Iโm getting more excited about Excel and data analysis more. I canโt wait to get a laptop and start working with real datasets.
For now, Iโm making do with what I have. I asked ChatGPT for new dataset and questions based on everything I learned this week.
