People reading into platitudes like this is silly. If the coach throws the players under the bus they're a bad coach, if they take accountability (justly or unjustly) they're a bad coach. The only thing you can do to be a good coach from a good team is to win a title.(
Chris Finch when speaking about Julius Randle via @PAOnTheMic Nine to Noon show:
“It was up to me to get him going and involved and I didn’t. I take the blame because we couldn’t get him going in the playoffs”
Stephon Castle on suggestions that the Spurs are not floppers and if they are leaving gamesmanship on the table:
"I don't really know to answer that, because I sell calls too, I can't lie."
The Timberwolves ultimate fear is Anthony Edwards requesting a trade, per @DWolfsonKSTP
"But it's about satisfying Ant. The fear is, that at some point, does Ant through his representation, Bill Duffy and others, signal a desire to be elsewhere? We are nowhere near that point, but the fear is there.”

With the Wolves getting knocked out by Oklahoma City and San Antonio these last two seasons, asked Naz Reid about what they need to do to be able to catch those teams.
"Probably just the moodiness. You look at both of those teams and they're playing for one another, they're excited to be on the floor with one another, they're a team where they're selfless... I think we have more than enough talent... But just being less moody. I think that's just the name of the game for us, just being less moody and more selfless."
Karl-Anthony Towns has been locked in on watching his former team, the Wolves, during the playoffs:
"I'm texting Ant, I'm texting Rudy, I'm texting those guys"
