Oklahoma City didn’t even play a clean game, looked out of rhythm half the night—and still blew the doors off at home. That’s the scary part. When you can win big without your A-game
Yeah, Los Angeles Lakers vs Oklahoma City Thunder is gonna pull the ratings — no surprise there.
But don’t sleep on Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons. That series has “drag you through the mud” written all over it. Physical, gritty, no freebies.
I’ll be locked into both. One’s the spotlight, the other’s a straight-up fight for a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals. Let’s see who really wants it.
Austin Rivers isn’t wrong—and people hate hearing it. I’ve been saying this: Draymond Green landed in the PERFECT situation. Right system, right stars, right timing.
Put him anywhere else and we’re not even whispering “Hall of Fame.” Still a good defender? Sure. But all-time great? Not even close.
Anthony Edwards expected to suit up for Game 1 — that’s what gamers do. Knee not 100%, doesn’t matter. Respect for even stepping on the floor. Now let’s see if he can still go be that dude.
Second round of the NBA playoffs tips off tonight.
Philadelphia 76ers vs New York Knicks — this one’s got DOG written all over it. Physical, loud, and probably going 6 or 7.
Then Minnesota Timberwolves vs San Antonio Spurs… and let’s be real—if Anthony Edwards isn’t out there, this ain’t a series, it’s a formality. Spurs in 5, maybe quicker if things get ugly

The Reed Sheppard jumper and then the Reed steal completely flipped the momentum late. Houston looked dead in the water for stretches, but they barely escape with the win and now force a Game 6 back in Houston. That sequence changed everything.
The Cavaliers get the win at home, but whew… neither team looked good in that fourth quarter. Ugly basketball all around. Cleveland was just slightly less chaotic down the stretch and that was enough to walk away with it. This series has been an absolute grind.
Phenomenal game by Cade Cunningham. That’s what superstars are supposed to do when the lights get bright. Detroit is still down 3-2 as this series shifts back to Orlando, and if the Pistons want this thing coming back home, Cade is gonna need another straight-up Superman performance. No pressure — just save the season again.
@JamesMa23159970@KySportsRadio I get your point but 4 SEC wins in his 3rd year doesn’t scream building a program. There are several coaches I’d love for Uk to aggressively go after outside of Billy Donovan
@JamesMa23159970@KySportsRadio Lon Kruger had 1 20 win season there. Kentucky has easy top 3 money available and still a destination for top talent with the right coach. Billy Donovan doesn’t lose out on all the recruits pope has
@JamesMa23159970@KySportsRadio His 2nd to last year he made the final 4. I’ll give pope benefit of the doubt that first year. Would you say this years recruiting is going better or worse than last year?
@JamesMa23159970@KySportsRadio Guy had a 71% winning percentage at Florida. He would be a major upgrade from Mark Pope. Him being in the NBA will help sell to recruits as well. He’s probably got a good 10 years left to get Kentucky back to an elite program
@JakeLiv03024812@KySportsRadio Why not do it now ? Put a feeler out there to see his interest level. Let him start recruiting for the following season.
