One of the greatest calamity that can befall any woman is to marry a stingy man even if she herself is rich.

As a Muslim woman, you need to know that if a man is stingy and you’re aware of his stinginess, you have every right to reject his marriage proposal, and if you’re not aware till you marry him, the stinginess is a valid ground for divorce under Islamic law.

Allah said it in the Quran chapter 4 verse 34 that “Men are the providers, protectors and maintainers of women and they (men) should spend their money on them (woman)”. So it’s safe to say any Muslim men who Allah has blessed and find it difficult to spend on his woman is arrogantly going against the commandment of Allah.

Rosullullah on the other hand also encourages men to be cheerful givers to their women and admonishes women to avoid stingy men. In fact, there is a companion of Rosullullah that has attained a marriageable age and refused to marry and when Rosullullah asked him why he’s still single and he replied “I don’t have money”, that’s him knowing he’ll need money to take care of whoever decide to go on marital journey with him.

In fact there are numerous verses in Quran that Allah promised to punish the stingy ones severely. Quran chapter 4 verse 37 said if direct that stingy people are going to hellfire.

In conclusion, as a Muslim man, you should know that there is nothing like 50/50 in Islamic marriage, not even 99/1, it’s 100/0. The moment you take a lady out of her parent house under the condition of marriage, everything that will make life easy for her is on you.

So coming on twitter to say muslim women do this and that, trust me that one no concern anybody, wahala ìwọ àti ẹlẹda ẹ ni yẹn. So if you cannot press money, my friend…..clear.
