Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) retired Navy Captain, combat pilot, NASA astronaut just dropped the hammer on the Trump administration.
In the middle of his legal battle with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the video where Kelly and other lawmakers reminded U.S. servicemembers:
"You do NOT have to obey illegal orders."
Kelly told Face The Nation:
“The administration is trying to shut people up, but in this case, they picked the WRONG GUY.”
“My role as a United States senator on that committee is to speak out about these issues, and I said something that they didn't like.”
Hegseth tried to demote him, strip his pension, and silence a sitting Senator and 25-year veteran for defending the Constitution.
Kelly is fighting back and a federal judge already blocked the retaliation.
