@CanuckCalgary @CalgaryOccupy It doesn't work even for rich folks. Hospitals charge whatever they want, after you get treatment. The worst part is how they sue their patients for the debt, plus interest and court fees. We also pay more income & property taxes than you do. You've got a good system. Keep it!

@CalgaryOccupy OMG don't even think about emulating US health care system. My spouse & I each pay ~$1200/year for our employer-provided health insurance, plus ~$2000/year for what it doesn't cover. Having a baby costs $5000, if nothing goes wrong.
