Adios, Barcelona! 👋 Earlier this month, C&IS faculty and graduate students traveled to Spain to co-host the 2023 International Association for Communication and Sport (IACS) Summit, and Alabama was recognized as the university with the most conference attendees! 🇪🇸 #IACS2023
Congratulations to @ireuab and @BamaSportscom for hosting a splendid #IACS23. It was the first time @IACSacademic went beyond the borders of the U.S., a necessary move and one that bodes well for the future of sport communication research.
Thank you to all attendees for joining the first ever international location for #IACS23! We hope everyone enjoyed getting to learn from sport communication scholars as well as hearing the various new research areas in the sports industry! ⚽️🇪🇸
Reflecting on the sights and sounds Spain has to offer! We were able to visit La Sagrada Família, FC Barcelona, Park Güell, and walk the streets of Barcelona 🇪🇸🤩
