Since ADPH is no longer updating their dashboard on weekends or holidays, as of today Bama Tracker has stopped updating. Thanks to everybody that supported the site and the work behind it.

Another comparison, 7-day avg Hospitalizations 2020 vs 2021. The 7-day avg has been lower than last year since April 12

This uses infectious date from Tab 7 and not reported dates, so backlogs should not affect this chart.

Here is a new chart comparing the 7-day avg cases 2020 vs 2021 based on Infectious Date (ADPH Tab 7). It was only on May 12th that the 7-day dropped below what it was last year.

These notices were posted yesterday by ADPH but I am only seeing them now. The result is backlogged data of over 5000 cases again.

ADPH updated their dashboard and Bama Tracker is now showing the correct data for today.

Also Bama Tracker is showing major drops in case numbers all over, statewide and per county. The counts match what ADPH is showing, but the drops do not align with their notices about backlog data. An inquiry has been sent over to see what's going on.

The source Bama Tracker uses to track effective reproduction (Rt) has Alabama at 3.4 (estimated). This is no doubt due to the massive backlogs of cases reported last week and seemingly very inaccurate.
