Heated Debate as Nigerian Secondary School Student Blames Government for Rising Fraud in the Country
A heated debate ensues as an SSS 2 student argues that government failure is a major factor contributing to the rise in fr@udulent activities in Nigeria.
He argues that mass unemployment and poverty caused by poor governance have pushed many people into fr@ud, questioning what the government expects from graduates who have spent five years after leaving university without securing jobs.
He also points to the increasing number of companies leaving the country, economic hardship caused by government policies, and the collapse of the education sector as major factors contributing to the problem.
He further argues that an idle mind is the devil's workshop, stressing that government policies and failure to create opportunities have created conditions that push some people into fraudulent activities.
“Speaking the Truth Is Treated as Disrespect in Nigeria” – Rufai Oseni
"Our Nigerian politicians are f!ghting me because they know I know them very well. They called me unprofessional, rude and stupid simply because I know who they are and have the courage to confront them with facts.
I know what it means for leadership to bastardise the lives of people. They looted public wealth and destr0yed countless lives.
In Nigeria, speaking the truth is treated as disrespect, while ruining the country is celebrated as leadership. I will not bulge, not for anyone and not for anything."

IMO STATE: OUR CONVERSATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT WITH THE PEOPLE CONTINUE
Our conversations and engagement with the people continued yesterday, 31st October 2026, as we journeyed from Yenagoa to Owerri, Imo State, for another edition of our ongoing town hall meeting series.
Upon arrival, I began with a visit to one of the markets in Owerri, where I interacted with traders, buyers and other residents. Their stories and experiences offered yet another sobering reminder of how difficult life has become for ordinary Nigerians under the harsh economic policies of this administration.
In my remarks at the town hall meeting, I reminded the good people of Imo State that, after more than three years in office, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not considered it necessary to spend even one night in Imo State, despite spending over 260 days abroad.
Meanwhile, his administration has accumulated enormous debts without delivering commensurate improvements in the lives of Nigerians. Our country is now ranked among the hungriest nations in the world, with over 140 million people living in multidimensional poverty. To compound this crisis, Nigeria remains one of the most terrorised countries in the world, while approximately 18 million children are out of school.
I reassured the people of Imo State that all hope is not lost. Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and I are committed to securing and uniting our country, making massive investments in critical sectors such as health and education, and lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
Among the leading contenders, we believe we possess the experience, competence, capacity, commitment and readiness required to undertake the difficult but necessary task of turning Nigeria around.
During the interactive session, questions were also raised about the protection of our votes. I encouraged our people to come out in their numbers, exercise their democratic rights and, more importantly, remain vigilant and stay with their votes until the final results are declared.
I sincerely thank our teeming supporters, party candidates, party members, organisers and, most importantly, the good people of Imo State for their warmth, enthusiasm and overwhelming support.
The journey to a new Nigeria is a collective responsibility. Together, we can build a country that works for everyone.
A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK! -PO

Catholic Bishop Urges Nigerian Leaders to Allow Free and Fair Elections, Warns Against Manipulating the System
“As Nigerians prepare to go through the process of selecting those who will lead us, we are asking for very simple things: allow us to choose from among you.
All the political parties are the same; it is the personalities that differ.
The only advantage an incumbent has is that they can point to what they have done and try to convince us that they will do better. It is now left to us to decide, not by manipulating the system or stopping the opposition.
Those in the opposition have only one responsibility: show us what you think you can do better. Whether the incumbent is good or bad, allow us to judge, or show us your track record.”
