Sometimes you don’t fall in love with a country because of what you see, but because of how it makes you feel. If I had a second home after Uganda, it would definitely be Switzerland 🇨🇭❤️

Africa’s children are not poor because they lack potential, but because leadership has failed them. Through honest leaders, better education, healthcare, and opportunities, we can break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for every child. #Africa#Leadership#Hope

The Ministry of Education and Sports’ recent report highlights the gravity of the situation, revealing that 23% of girls aged 12 to 18 drop out of school once they begin menstruating.
Every girl deserves to menstruate 🩸 with dignity.

Girls in Kisoro face a multitude of challenges when it comes to managing their #MenstrualHealth.
The lack of menstrual hygiene products in schools is a major barrier to education, with many girls staying home due to period-related challenges.

“Ultimately, advocacy strives to make a noticeable difference by transforming policies, practices, attitudes or behaviors.”
Yay❣️
We wrapped up a 2️⃣ Day impactful @afriyan_uganda Strategic Advocacy Workshop hosted by @UNFPAUganda, two powerful days of reflection and planning with youth-led organisations to amplify their voice and shape a brighter future for young people in Uganda.
I was glad to represent @YfcUganda! Huge thanks for an insightful workshop !

Truly, there is still a long way to go❗️
“While progress is being made in the national strategy to end child marriage and teenage pregnancy, the statistics remain alarming. #TeenagePregnancy causes 22.3% of school dropouts among girls aged 14–18, contributes 28% to maternal deaths, accounts for over 50% of unsafe abortions in girls under 20 and makes up nearly 1 in 5 births in Uganda.” These figures remind us of the urgency to act.”
Well,I was truly glad to participate and represent @YfcUganda in the recent @GirlsFirstFund convening right here in Uganda. This three-day gathering was an invaluable opportunity for learning, unlearning and re-learning, all aimed at strengthening our collective commitment to #EndChildMarriage and safeguarding the communities we serve.
📌The convening sharply focused on the critical intersection of abuse, vulnerability and protection. We engaged in profound discussions about how safeguarding goes far beyond just policies. It’s about actively creating and sustaining safe environments where every child can truly thrive.
Thank You GFF
