Think about that. Every single piece of plastic in general stays on this earth in one way or another FOREVER. There are brands like @simplystraws or @last_straw_co who sell straws that are forever reusable and will save! #stopsucking#stopsuckingcampaign
50% of the plastic we use, we use just once and throw away. Doesn’t that shock you? By just reducing the amount of plastic you use, you can help save the environment. Other than the straws, your everyday face wash, soap, and more everyday products have tiny plastic beads in them.
Using one “harmless” plastic straw creates an eternity of issues! Every time you spend 20 minutes using a straw, it stays here for centuries, and will eventually end up in the ocean. How hard is it to say “NO” to plastic straws? We need to start somewhere! Sign my petition (bio)!
71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they eat plastic, the mortality rate is 50%. We need to understand that straws go into the ocean in so many different ways, and have almost become normal for marine life to eat. #stopsucking

This is a project for my daughter if anyone would be kind enough to sign the petition. Thank you!
We use 500 million plastic straws A DAY, even with recycling, a majority of the plastic still ends up in landfills, and can end up in the sea. When plastic breaks down into smaller pieces it can be ingested by animals, potentially harming or killing them. #stopsucking#savethesea
