@ThomasWictor Approximately 1600 scientists, engineers, and techs recruited by US to gain knowledge of capability post-NAZI Germany. We did something similar with the fall of Japan and unit 731 regarding the data and accessible knowledge. Didn't commit the crimes, but studied the results.

@dlandrydl @fraticat @ThomasWictor Point: you should never underestimate your adversaries. Doesn't matter if TW is impressed or not, doesn't change the tens of millions of dead people. Their propaganda worked, Austria was annexed, etc. The war happened because much of what they did was effective. Like it or not.
