I’ve been through 2 restructures in the past 4 years. Private sector is the jungle sana.

The only people that are safe from restructures/retrenchments are government employees. No private sector industry is safe from these never ending restructures. I know three people, excluding myself, that went through it last year. There are two already again this year.

I know there’s probably no perfect time to have a baby but I cannot imagine having to deal with these current terrible twos in my late 40s, early 50s. Jesus Christ this is a lot. I really don’t blame people that don’t want to have children because wow.
