@PFValadao @zencashofficial@RolfVersluis So to summarise, mining will use as much power as before and will be no more or less secure in the long run.
There is security risk during the change to ASIC where one company could own >51% hash power.
An ASIC is also more expensive than a GPU.
@PFValadao @zencashofficial@RolfVersluis The increased hashrate on the network caused by a change to ASIC devices does not increase resistance to 51% attacks. Because the attacker is still required to be operating >half of the overall mining hardware working on the network. Just as they would with GPU's.
@PFValadao @zencashofficial@RolfVersluis If there are high efficiency devices mining then it's not worth mining with inefficient ones. So GPU's would be out if ASIC's are in.
@PFValadao @zencashofficial@RolfVersluis Having a higher hashrate on the network achieves nothing except to raise the difficulty. People add hashing power to the network until power cost almost offsets mining reward. So, we will ultimately use about the same power as before.
@PFValadao @zencashofficial@RolfVersluis Actually, hash per watt makes no difference. People will continue adding hash to the network until power cost almost matches mining income. Difficulty will compensate and we will be in the same place we are now in terms of mining power expenditure.
@eurekaskastle@zencashofficial The number of Sol/s doesn't matter as people will continue adding hash until the point where power cost almost matches mining reward. Same as they do with GPU's.
@Delta Hi there, are refunds automatically processed for tickets cancelled within the risk free period or does the refund application need to be completed? Basic economy, booked on Delta website, credit card. Thank you
@MarcoTheDriver @HeyRhett@CryptoJake22@bitcoinprivate You seem to be missing the point. BTCP was created to make Rhett wealthy by taking money from other people. That's all it is. Did you read the white paper? It's clearly a scamcoin.
@Chrisem404040 @HeyRhett@VitalikButerin@RichardHeartWin So why not support development of this coin instead of making another scam fork ripping off the Bitcoin name again...?
@cryptosteve11 @maciremo@BTCPrimeCoin@HeyRhett Absolutely, BTCP was a scam too. Not as many people called it out though and it still has a lot of people who believe in it... Despite the trash "white paper"
@Chrisem404040 @themerklenews Can't deny that if you're early on the news, there is an opportunity to make money from the pump... At the expense of the poor suckers who think this is real.
@themerklenews@HeyRhett Bitcoin Prime is an opportunity for Rhett Creighton to use fork hype to pump a low cap coin for his own gain... Again. There is no other reason for its existence.
