The pre-frontal trough stormfront will soon depart the ECNJ/SENJ coast. Now we turn to the NW for storms along the cold front. Notice it's still muggy out because the cold front is not through yet. I expect this last round to come into NWNJ/NNJ rather aggressively and make it to about I-78 before fizzling out somewhere between I-78 and I-195. This should all happen between about 8pm and midnight or just after. Areas S of I-78 are likely done once this current coastal stuff pushes offshore. Tomorrow still looking great!

A lot are asking about the tornado threat. As a courtesy I try to pass NWS SPC warnings to the public but I never liked the tornado threat for today. I'm sure there were a few funnel clouds but no EF-2 or EF-3 like what was discussed elsewhere. I will quote my article from yesterday: "This is far from a “everyone gets severe weather” scenario. It’s much more of an “everyone will see rain and moderate breeze but only some could experience the worst of it.”" which seems to have been an alright forecast. Be safe! JC
