[INFO] This craze is unfathomable. #BTS's world tour was literally sold out "without a single seat left."
The BBC, a British public broadcaster, predicted that ticket sales from this tour alone would reach "1 billion dollars" (approximately 1.4487 trillion won). If this trend continues, BTS's comeback stage "Arirang" will enter the "Top 3 Global Tours of the 2020s."
BTS's world tour "ARIRANG," which is on the verge of a comeback, is garnering attention with all shows sold out in North America and Europe. The sight of stadium-sized concert halls selling out at lightning speed after tickets go on sale seems to have become a constant of the resurgence of the "BTS phenomenon."
While the tour is planned to consist of 31 shows in 12 cities in North America and 10 shows in 5 cities in Europe, some regions, such as Tampa, Stanford, and Las Vegas, have confirmed one additional show each, as if responding to the strong request of their global fandom, " ARMY . " BTS, who has always been the protagonists of new history, will also set out to "break the stamp" of local stadiums with this tour, which holds the title of "first K-pop artist to enter." Representative venues include El Paso Sun Bowl Stadium, Stanford Stadium, Foxborough Gillette Stadium, Baltimore M&T Bank Stadium, and Arlington AT&T Stadium.
The total scale of this world tour has been tentatively confirmed as 82 shows across 34 cities, making it the "most shows" ever by a K-pop artist on a single tour. Industry insiders, including the BBC, predict that ticket sales alone will generate over $1 billion.
While this estimate is "very conservative" based on current trends, it will align with one of the "Top 3 Global Tours of the 2020s" according to Touring Data, the most reliable source for global tour attendance. The new "Big Three" world tour will feature Taylor Swift, Coldplay, and BTS within the year.
Ahead of the tour, pre-orders for their upcoming comeback albums are also on the rise. Their fifth full-length album, "Arirang," scheduled for release on March 20th, recently surpassed 4.06 million copies in just one week of pre-orders. BTS, a source of pride for K-content, is also promoting an "open comeback concert" open to the public in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul, the heart of the capital.
