Brilliant drive from @LewisHamilton ๐
Damage limitation, and then some. Taking the W14 up 7 places in a race, with zero retirements, on a track that was difficult to pass.
What a comeback! Bring on Imola!

@LH44_insights My man was fed up with his SC luck ๐ For real tho, the way he took the corner to pass Ocon and look how he just demanded the inside from GR haha
@LH44_insights That cheeky little smile when she brought up the upgrades ๐คญ i don't think we will get close to the RB, but it would be cool to gain on the AM and Ferrari(and hopefully be the 2nd fastest team on race day)
@goofygooberahh1 @LH44_insights@LewisHamilton Just shows that he has class. You also can't forget that he is very experienced and he knows that bickering about the car won't get them further up the grid. He is just patience and doing everything he can to put the team on top again
@Martin__Jacquet@MercedesAMGF1@LewisHamilton I think he did but just couldn't improve. Q2 was just a difficuly session for him he said, while he nailed his first lap in Q3, which made it hard for him to improve upon
@carmiltonfan @Achilles4510@joshua_mv33 @MercedesNewsUK @autosport Which means they had extra to spent on the car? All other teams had to pay for the catering as well but they did this within the budget, which means that they could spent relatively less than Red Bull on the car itself
@LH44_insights@LewisHamilton I know it will be difficult to close that gap anytime soon, but if i believe that Merc is the team that could achieve this so i too am secretly hoping that they are on the correct path now
@MV1_Supremacy @F1@LewisHamilton@MercedesAMGF1 If you gonna compare his race results, why stop at the last 7?? Take all race results from every driver and lets talk again
@Botanfan55 @SkySportsF1 I don't think he did. I think he was planning to go aggressive, but Max was breaking a lot earlier which gave hamilton the opportunity to get the inside and make a legitimate move
@MV1_Supremacy @HarryTu96513993 @MercedesAMGF1@LewisHamilton He did it to prevent lewis from going the long way. Unfortunately, lewis is pretty good at making his opponent go too deep and goes for the switch on the following turn. Nothing Sainz could really do, especially since they struggled a bit more with the car than they predicted
@amal_shura@MercedesAMGF1@LewisHamilton I think he went a bit too deep on turn 1 which compromises his exit in the 2nd turn. I don't think he could have done much more in this situation
@SkySportsF1 He's right tho. Just changing the sidepods would literally f up the car since it has to be balanced in correlation with mostly the rear but also the front. The car need a big revamp on the body work if they did this
