🚨Kia tūpato! (Be careful!) We have received multiple reports of a re-emerging robocall scam. Out of the blue, people are receiving an automated call from ‘their bank’ saying that a payment of $1000 has been made from their credit card, and to press ‘1’ to stop it. (1/3)
If they press ‘1’ they are put through to a real person who asks for their credit card details.
If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately. ☎️ If you are concerned that your banking information has been compromised, call your bank on their publicly listed number. (2/3)
