JUST IN: Oshana Governor Hofni Iipinge has pledged to take responsibility for clearing about five hectares of bush behind Oshakati Intermediate Hospital.

Speaking during a visit to the hospital, Iipinge said he will use his own funds to hire individuals to debush the area. The aim is to make the hospital more visible and to construct a shelter for waiting pregnant mothers.

He noted that right now pregnant women suffer while waiting, even though there is unused land available. The clearing is set to start next week.
