Is safforinization a thing...yes. But your examples are bad. Akbar (or atleast the myth of him) is vastly contrasting to Aurangzeb or Khilji (who isn't even a Mughal). Poor research is just condescending
Had roommates that had never seen Die Hard so I decided to watch it with them. The entire movie they're doing chores and on their phones. At the end of the movie, one of them said "I didn't like it."
I asked him "why did the bad guys hold the building hostage?"...
Two things though - The movie be better if there's a better cut of this and the sequel. As it is, I felt robbed after sitting through a 3.5 hrs movie. It's meh. The action could have been much better.
Second - it's easier to love propaganda movies when it's not related to you.
Because Mary Sue origins are from fanfics (star trek ones I believe) from like 70s and before, and women have always been more active on the creative side of fandoms (still most fanfics writers are women) so naturally self inserts without flaws happened to be women. Hence...
@Muumaxxer I specifically think its origins are misogyny because inherently the idea of a flawless character is yes bad writing but for the idea to be expressed through the lens of "woman character" is misogynistic. It shows how female characters get a lot less leeway in writing
Laughing at some of the people defending Netflix. I don't use sites (torrent is superior) , my cousin does and they've come along so faar! The UI is slick and some features that feels essential but are missing on streaming sites.
Been an atheist for half my life and this is bs. Hindu pantheon is one of the greatest, metal af looking one out there. Carpenter guy asthetics is cute but if your mythology doesn't had insane battles of dharma then it's pretty dull in comparison.
@onlyapexjha @shrupidity "Apeksha", "Uddeshya" he's just a Delhi guy. When we speak Hindi it has loanwords from Sanskrit and Urdu/Farsi as well as codeswitching to English to get our point across.
