The winner of the 2025 EANM Sanjiv Sam Gambhir Award is @DanCohenMDNM from @BarShir_Lab ๐
Congratulations on his upcoming visitorship at @Stanford!
Big thanks to the contenders, hosts, jury members & participants for making this session so engaging!

This time at @EANM_NucMed. It was fun to share a bit of what we do at @BarShir_Lab. And what a tremendous honor it is to receive an award named after Sam Gambhir and his visionary spirit.
What a magical week in Alaska, wrapped up by receiving the #WMIC2025#YIA award!
Feeling grateful to be part of such community โ great people, outstanding science, empowering atmosphere.
Huge thanks to @WMISWMIC and to my ever-inspiring mentor @BarShir_Lab.
I am very proud of @DanCohenMDNM from my lab for receiving the Young Investigator Award of the #WMIC2025 for introducing Fluorine Metabolic Imaging (FMI). Congratulations! Stay tuned for more FMI soon.
The credit for the photo goes to @BulteJeff#YIA
Check this out in the latest JACS issue (out today). Inspired by CEST MRI-based tumor detection, we present a novel approach for sensing lanthanide ions, even from recycled sources like old hard drives. #MR#Fingerprinting #CEST@GorenEladโฉ @PerlmanOr https://t.co/XiqKQKxAvf
Yesterdayโs monthly student seminar in the Department of Molecular Chemistry & Materials Science featured excellent talks by Mariia Rodionova (Shimanovich group) and Georgy Chistov (@BarShir_Lab). Great science, great discussion! ๐ฌ๐ #StudentSeminar#ChemSci
Proud of my lab members who presented their work at #EMIM2025. Michal Fisler & Georgy Chistov received Best Poster Award. @DanCohenMDNM was a finalist for the Young Investigator Award and delivered an outstanding lecture (and should have taken the first place, opinion of many).
Just back to work after such inspiring days! was a pleasure to give the concluding talk at #EMIM2025 in Bilbao. Exciting to share the story of #FMI and see your incredible reactions. Thanks @ESMI_society, and huge thanks to the one and only @BarShir_Lab โ where dreams come true!
Another application of 19F-ENDOR spectroscopy, this time focusing on the structural elucidation of cyclodextrin-based hosts and fluorinated guests. A fantastic collaboration with @GoldfarbLab@BarShir_Lab, @GorenElad, @avbgdn.

A genetically engineered reporter system for quantitative in vivo mapping of transgene expression using #2H -MRI. This #MRI#ReporterGene opens up new possibilities for #MolecularImaging. By Dr. Hyla Arnon. Thanks โฆโฆโฆโฆ@lab_lucioโฉ . https://t.co/0oOIEgU1OH
This work was led by our former postdoc @Lucia_MLee now running her own lab at Queen's University. Check her research and join her:

Well done Dr. Hyla Arnon for a great talk. Unpublished yet but Iโm already excited to see this first Deuterium MRI reporter gene system with abilities to quantitatively mapping (reporter) gene expression. The Future of molecular MR meeting, Orlรฉans, France
Coming back from a great symposium on โDevelopment of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Molecular Probes for
Magnetic Resonance and Optical Imagingโ at Janov nad Nisou, Czech Republic. Thank you Prof. Daniel Jirak from #IKEM for an amazing hospitality.
We developed BLUsH to image optical signals throughout the mammalian brain using MRI. Thanks to @NaNeuroimage and colleagues at the Jasanoff Lab @MITdeptofBE and @mitbrainandcog for the great work!
Check this out. Controlling the shape and size of paramagnetic MgF2 nanocrystals for 19F-MRI. Yet another step towards the use of inorganic nanofluorides for #19F-#MRI. Well done Dr. Dana Cohen (a book chapter on nanofluorides for 19F-MRI is on its way)

It was a great pleasure to present my work about 19F MRI of extracellular vesicle mimetics at EMIM2024.
I believe that bridging molecular imaging and EVs can bring exciting findings for cancer therapy ๐
