@Real50Trump@unusual_whales Government procurement is a complex machine. Not just NASA but every agency has issues. However, advocating that an agency should simply be replaced and privatized is a very problematic proposition.
@anticatlady@TristanSnell NASA doesn’t build launch vehicles and also buys them from SpaceX but go ahead don’t let reality get in the way of your crazy.
@elonmusk you should have started with the pentagon and the DoD, not eventually “got around to it”. I would guarantee DOGE support would quadruple if you were putting the same scrutiny to the war machine as you are to the department of education. Just a thought.
@thechosenberg This is beyond dumb. Just because the proposed question (such as “will the earth be hit by a meteor that causes extinction level event in the next ten years?”) has a seemingly binary outcome, it has zero to do with probability of that event happening or not.
Now that the new government is in session with full control of the GOP, I must say I am looking forward to actually seeing tangible progress and far less bickering. I may not agree with all the policies and some of the tone of the messaging but it sure beats sitting idle.
@AnarchoCapital2@krassenstein@Ceo_Branding Ice age cycles are in millions of years. Human activity impact to these cycles can not be evaluated over several cycles because we are new to the planet. That being said, our impact to the current cycle is clear and evident and trends/data doesn’t care about emotions.
