@AlboMP If something hits the fan we have weeks… other countries who sign
“International Energy Agency (IEA) Stockholding Obligation” have 90days..
Not something you should proud of Albo…
@friendlyjordies 55% of Australians pay net no tax, so maybe, the 50% who can’t buy a home should get a second job or move out of city and work where the money is good enough to buy a home.
Its pretty simple, work harder. Not bludge off the system.
@friendlyjordies Narh, better the tax payer pay for the politicians flight and ski trips to aspen.….. union money corruption and fraud is epidemic. Sorry bud, but you are apart of the problem and your way of thinking needs a reality check.
@karlstefanovic Hey Karl,
You are now getting spammed by the labor department of “Propaganda”
Seeing all these well organized hits on your post.
Keep up the good work Karl!! 👍
Where do you start, Karl? I think the whole thing needs to be scrapped.
We should replace it with a “National Severely Disabled Insurance Scheme”
Only people with severe disabilities would be covered.
Everyone else would access support through existing state-based services, as was originally intended.
How does taxing shares through higher CGT, as well as taxing the sale of businesses and trusts, help first-home buyers buy a house?
After stopping the Stage 3 tax cuts for higher-income earners, increasing taxes on superannuation, and now targeting negative gearing, CGT, and trusts, I have never felt so angry and disillusioned with the Australian Government.
You say it’s “levelling the playing field” — but no. We now have, more than ever, a divide between the relatively few people who pay significant tax and the people who pay little or no net tax and receive government handouts.
Around 55% of Australians pay no net tax after government transfers, benefits, and concessions. How is continually increasing the burden on taxpayers while expanding wealth redistribution helping to solve the housing affordability crisis?
@elonmusk One of my friends sent me this, and we are having a pro negative debate about “Elon musk” I am a major supporter of yours and said I would ask you your thoughts on this guy?

Thanks for your reply Matt. I’m a big fan of your work — and just so we’re clear, I’m also a massive F1 fan.
As an Australian, I recognise that our political landscape can be a bit different from other parts of the world. From my perspective, it sometimes feels like certain Green parties globally use the “green” banner to advance what I see as strongly far-left policies — in some cases, ideas that resemble a more traditional socialist or even communist framework, just presented under a different label.
That said, I genuinely respect your opinion and appreciate you sharing your perspective. Open discussion is important, even when we see things differently.
