Itβs a recognized form of torture to wake a person up and prevent them from sleeping for several hours. Then, just as they are starting to fall asleep, jolt them awake and begin to pepper them with question after question at a loud volume.
It takes just 2 days for this to be considered a form of torture recognized by the United Nations.
Itβs an actual technique that gets used to make grown men give up national secrets and drive them to insanity.
This is a Motherβs Day message.
If she is in the baby and toddler stage, let her sleep.
Spent today editing work I wrote while pregnant. Some pieces were hard to read because that time feels so far away now, even though it was less than a year ago. I was happy to come home from writing to this face. It reminded me that all those struggles were for the best reason.
Took my first trip away from my baby girl for work. 30 hours in Vegas for a new editor job. Iβm happy to be heading home but it sure felt good to get out and back to work! Props to the moms out there doing it all β
Digging back into one of my manuscripts that's been sitting on my desk since before my baby girl's birth. I'm not cringing so much, so that's good! Just need to get my writing routine back. If any moms or dads, or anyone for that matter, have suggestions, please share!
I joined my first The Hatch Sunday meeting by @suleikajaouad's The Isolation Journals. It was so wonderful to feel all of the creative inspiration! I highly recommend it for those who need some motivation and community.
Why do so many writers reference cicadas when addressing setting? Regardless of the reason, we will all have a lot of fodder this year :) https://t.co/0F4UQM7EZX
