#bbcaq - there is a message being sent by the public loud and clear here. People don’t want us to change our prime minister. The labour mps need to listen..
@cels1952@montysbiscuit@guardian Burnham won because the good people of Makerfield were determined not to let Reform win. Many from other parties lent their vote to ensure defeat for Reform. It doesn't mean that all Labour voters want Burnham to be PM .
Apparently according to @guardian newspaper now Burnham has won a by-election, Starmer should stand aside for him to become PM. Does that mean, every future PM must stand aside for any new MP winning a by-election who has designs on his job? Anyone else find this ridiculous?
This resonates deeply with me and my family.
Canada never asked us to leave our story behind. It invited us to add it to a larger one. What a great country! 🇨🇦
Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy.
One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what??
The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you.
Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!
