As Day Two deliberations continue in full swing among Senior Officials at Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls, the spotlight now turns to tomorrow's high-level Ministerial session, where Hon. Dr. Anxious Jongwe Masuka, Zimbabwe's Minister of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Water Resources Development, is expected to officially open the SADC Joint Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Agriculture, Food Security, Fisheries and Aquaculture in his capacity as representative of the host nation.
The Ministers' meeting, to be chaired by South Africa's Hon. Mr. John Henry Steenhuisen in his role as Chairperson of the Joint Committee, will take forward the outcomes of this week's Senior Officials' discussions, tackling critical regional issues including food and nutrition security, climate resilience, Foot and Mouth Disease response, and the advancement of the blue economy across the 16 SADC Member States.
