MPs have just voted to give themselves another 11 weeks out of the office - working virtually until November 13 - while urging the rest of us to get back to work
#OneRuleForThem
God we're easily distracted. They don't even have to really try any more. The excess deaths, the hundreds of millions for kit that doesn't work, ripping up regulations to suit donors, the kleptocracy and nepotism. But look...a dinghy!
That the latest "decision" is that you can have your cleaner or your nanny visit your house, but not your parents, is so parodically the call of posh men who were sent away to boarding school, it's actually made me hysterical.
This piece is so moving and makes me so angry that we are not testing more and protecting everyone better. Thoughts with the Kinnear family. “My sister died of coronavirus. She needed care, but her life was not disposable” | The Guardian https://t.co/DXWNxraN5Y
. @DrRosena, who is working on the front line in A&E, puts a perfectly valid question to @MattHancock who suggests she watch her tone! We now have the highest death toll in Europe & one of the worst in the world! So no Health Secretary, you watch your tone
If it’s true Government fiddled #PPE figures by counting a single pair of gloves as 2 separate items of PPE in order to deceive the public & front line NHS & Care workers, risking their lives, into believing it had secured more PPE than it had Hancock should be sacked immediately
This is the best measure I’ve seen of quite how few #COVID19 tests the UK has done. It is an international league table of countries ranked by percentage of population tested, compiled by Julian Ozanne (who was on FT with me in another life). The UK comes 20th out of 20
I have reiterated my concerns that our Govt are refusing to follow World Health Org on self-isolation. The WHO is clear: We should self-isolate for 14 days once symptoms stop. In the UK we self-isolate for 7 days once symptoms start.
Still, no Minister has answered my question.
A care worker was asked by @BBCNewsbeat earlier whether she will be buying one of the new CARE badges, she said “No, they are being sold for £8.99 and my wage is only £8.75 an hour”
Says it all..
Can't deny the rising nervousness in ED, esp., after admitting a young v ill colleague.
But I want to share a picture that shows the #spirit of our #healthcare professionals.
With #solidarity, we will win against #Covid_19!
But we want public to help us, please #StayHome. RT
Can I ask how @MattHancock & @BorisJohnson qualified for a coronavirus swab when they were clearly not unwell enough to require hospital admission? From a frustrated NHS Dr who is currently self-isolating at home without a test, not on the frontline where I want to be #bbcqt
