so funny! Charles & Camila stand quietly observing the boorish behavior of the US president which hardly surprises them.
Camilla & Melania color-coordinated as if in uniform. prefer Camilia's more stylish hat.
From The Barcelona Review's current issue, a true delight for Haneke fans in Nicholas Royle’s “Michael Haneke’s Films Ranked,” set against Peter Bradshaw’s Guardian list, with a narrator who could well be a Haneke character himself.

it is generally forgotten that 15,000-20,000 Germans were killed protesting Hitler, or aligning themselves with groups protesting Hitler. always there are courageous persons in opposition to a rising authoritarian state, as we are seeing in the US; if those in opposition are not quickly joined by many more, indeed many many more, the effort will be lost.
these Nazi state killings of Germans included street executions like those committed by ICE, deaths in concentration camps, torture, & “preventive detention.”
London just joined Minnesota.
Trafalgar Square filled with protesters demanding justice for Alex Pretti while opposing Farage.
When state violence goes unchecked, the world notices.
Solidarity doesn’t stop at borders. 🇬🇧

Sirât: Ravers making their way through the harsh Saharan desert , along with a father (and his son) looking for his daughter. It’s a punch in the gut to watch, but an amazing film with a mesmerizing soundtrack. My pick for best film of the year.
Enjoy this good story in which a neglected young boy is pulled awake by his beer-fueled father and the father’s friend to go on a boat trip where the drinking continues.
