Pleased with Silver medal a couple weeks ago at the ArcheryGB National indoor champs. One year on shooting the #GilloGT and first outing with new #KGArchery Axial limbs. Got pretty tired in the matches, most arrows I've shot since increasing bow weight in Nov.

Won the UK 3D Barebow title for 4th year in a row last weekend. Thanks to Deer Park Archers for hosting such a great shoot.

Had a successful weekend at Pentref 3D, on a tricky course with lots of dead ground used. Sight marks have finally settled after giving my tab a slight trim last week, and bow is performing well #GilloGT#KGArchery#NX55 limbs
Everything starting to come together after a couple of mediocre results at the first two field shoots of the year where I think lack of regular practice meant endurance wasn't quite where it needed to be, getting twitchy on the second days of the shoots
Finally feel I've got the bow tuned ready for stat of field season next weekend #GilloGT#KGArchery Have spent ages trying to get it tuned in between club ground being regularly flooded, had to play around with arrow specs to get it sorted, PB on marked practice field round 360
First post didn't work. Had a good start to indoor season setting new 18m pb 551 and retained Somerset champ for another year. Just over a week ago, given a Gillo GT 27" to try, quickly got it set up and tuned last weekend ready to shoot at national indoors
Nat indoors, a rough start as not used to the bow grip yet, I need to modify it to suit me. Settled into it and shot a fantastic 283 second half WA18m round to qualify 2nd with 541. Lost my rhythm during the H2H's knocked out in the 1/4 to finish 5th #barebow#KGArchery#GilloGT
A gap in #FieldArchery calendar, so dabbling in Target for a couple of weeks. Braved the notorious wind at Dunster castle for Somerset champs York round (100yds, 80yds, 60yds). The wind made it a great learning experience, having to commit to shots regardless. #KGArchery#NX55
Huge success over the last 6weeks. Retained both British Field and 3D barebow titles for another year. Obliterated my 1day and 2day field pb's at the British on really tricky course, and equalled 1day pb again a few weeks later, boosting confidence #KGArchery NX55 limbs
Bumpy start to season. 3D at Pentref went well except for lots of distance errors afternoon day1. Field at Dearne shot strong most of weekend; first 8 targets on day2 went terribly, 24 points less than day1. Bow was shooting great, #KGArchery just couldn't get brain to wake up
May shoots have gone much better, Kendal Field was a great course, it's a pity the steeper section of the course is inaccessible due to dozens of wind-toppled trees in recent years. Beat my unmarked pb. Deer Park 3D also went great beating pb and won English champs
#KGArchery
Last week shot first #FieldArchery comp of the year at #pentref
Loads more relaxed to be back out in the woods, had a really close contest between myself and Ollie, and ended up just 3points off my pb for the weekend, a brilliant start to the season
Been a busy couple of months getting bow ready for start of season. Ended up getting some new VAP elite arrows, a spine stiffer as tune felt on the edge, was having quite a wide variation between good and bad days. Seems to be a lot more consistent now.
A couple weeks ago, shot the Whitehill double 50m round, first outdoor shoot of the year. Mental game just wasn't there, nerves fluttering around as had high expectations (shot a 651 in practice the previous week). Bow was shooting great, really liking the #KGArchery#NX-55limbs
Have also just changed the weights on bow to get balance even better, now more solid on release. Combined with the new mental approach seems to be working pretty well, just below my 18m pb last week in icy weather, and equalled pb this week
Been a busy couple of months of experimenting since getting back from USA in October. For starters, joined #TeamKG#KGArchery and have now been shooting their NX-55 carbon/wood limbs for a couple of months, and really liking them
Week before National indoors, made a few changes to mental process which I believe may eliminate the problem shots. Reverted back to old grip and hand pressures after Nat indoor, but have incorporated some of the essence of what I was trying to achieve into the technique...
Individual elims didn't go to plan, had a couple of blips, and didn't put any pressure on multiple champion Erik who relaxed to shoot a brilliant high score.
Team rounds, won our 1/4 final against germany, and lost to slovenia in the semi to put us into the bronze match tomorrow
Finished day 2 of qualifying and have moved up into 6th putting me top of my pool for head to head matches tomorrow. Really pleased with how I shot, on par with scores I've shot at uk shoots this year, but on a much more challenging course #Barebow#WorldFieldArcheryChamps
Had a great 1st day of qualifying, sitting in 7th at the World field archery champs, Yankton USA. Fantastic field course with lots of challenging slopes, and a great view across the Missouri river for a couple of targets
