@ScooterMcNeice It doesn’t matter really. We’re 18th with them and will be 18th without them. If they quit then their remaining salaries can go towards Brad’s payout. Thanks boys.
@SilentGhost263@CamTaylor2293 Was really poor defensively too. Was responsible for forward 50 entry turnovers and then had no tank or desire to clean it up on the rebound
@jacksondavey McKay was the only serviceable defender. Redman and McGrath were very ordinary in defence. Bout time they stepped up and stop getting caught behind, outbodied and being so slow to set up for the rebound. We enter our 50 poorly, u know that, so get ready for it to come back fast
@ScooterMcNeice Watching blokes like Perkins turn it over on fwd entry, only to half jog back on def (along with redman & McGrath), avoid taking a body, hands on hips while opp mids & fwds walk into open fwd50 was disgraceful. Unfit? Lazy? Dumb? All above? Even young players know to man up
@AnthonyPHoran@rharris334 Bendigo & Lara etc aren’t small & ageing tho. Same with Metro clubs folding. The AFL could do a lot more to help at grassroots with AFLVIC registration costs, insurance coverage, bureaucracy on club volunteers, grants, payments for players getting drafted etc. it would all help
@FOXFOOTY Who at Fox footy is running the hate campaign? Every time Merrett, Welsh, etc & now Solomon is mentioned the leading tagline is negative and inflammatory. Photo linking to Hird trying to stir shit up. Just write your report and leave the opinions at the door. Woman’s weekly trash
@PodricoVargas Look at the head turning offers made for Petracca & Curnow. Real offers. Merrett’s worth to Ess is greater than Curnow or Trac’s to the Dees/ Blues due to the lack of wider talent at Essendon. Had to be a top 10 (like Dee’s got) or a starting 23 player (Hayward at blues) inc
@WizardEnjoyer34 I think… if the hawks had Merrett they might have been 1st. I think if Essendon didn’t have Merrett they’d be 18th anyway. So I guess if you don’t go down the ladder but can stop Hawthorn going up- it’s a win for Essendon
@JefHill1@TheSashPod I can see how hawks see it like that, but in reality hawthorn would’ve got a bonafide star and Essendon pot luck in comp drafts. Welsh’s stance has been surprisingly galvanising amongst the fan base. He made a bold call and now has the opportunity to see where it takes us.
