Sony is recouping the majority of a $508 million U.S. tariff refund🚀
✅These taxes, which were recently declared illegal, were originally blamed for driving up the cost of the PlayStation 5.
✅According to CFO Lin Tao, the PlayStation division is receiving the lion's share of the funds, with approximately 70% already collected between April and June 2026.
✅Despite getting this money back, Sony has not announced any intention to reimburse buyers who paid the inflated retail prices.
✅As a result, the company is now facing a proposed U.S. class-action lawsuit demanding that a portion of the recovered funds be returned to consumers.
✅They also plan to end physical game discs, due to their own greedy and wanting ti start a monopoly where players have no ownership, less options, and more freedom for Sony to raise prices on a whim
This is the cesspool of a company that once was the untouchable darling of the industry
