As a day trader i find everyday is like an exam in the stock market.
More you practice and prepare better you get at it and lesser the mistakes you make.
Since, i am trading every day, i should prepare everyday.
can't say i know the setup now.
Building muscle memory.
First Lost -₹6000
Then Booked +₹6000
and Left on the table ₹6000.
This is not the way i want to trade. too much huch puch.
I don't want to interfere this much.
• Spot
• Enter
• Set SL & TP
• Fuck off from the Screen.
Don't want to repeat JUNE.
The position is open.
Usually ₹8000 used to be my target with double capital and half SL.
Since yesterday i started 4x capital and 0.25% SL.
Working magically so far.
Only time can tell if it is sustainable in long-term.
Let me know your thoughts?
I don't think i need to increase my risk if i can manage to use position sizing creatively.
Last two days market is surprising me with 15%-20% catch in a day with same ₹1k risk.
Still, if this works for 6 month then i will increase the risk and use the margin in my favour.
missed this entry.
the point is not if will it reach to the TP but the set up wise there was an entry.
should i take after this much fall, how far can it fall further?
well, it is weak now...
Nobody knows how far will it fall but pull back from here would need more strength.
Back tested some setup from the past to evaluate the nifty50 interference or independence!
i think for the extreme imbalance, the nifty has no influence.
Besides, public participation could be concerning but it is small w.r.t giants creating imbalance.
Hence, the conclusion is...
Imbalance stocks don't obey regular rules of market breadth, Price action.
Solely dependent upon the institution driving them irrespective of the market condition.
I accidently watched a video of Fabio Velentine today.
He said that during certain trend he goes all in with full margin.
but he knows what he is doing and what is at the stake.
From my today's experience and past mistake i can clearly understand it now.
Caught 20% in a day.
Oh no! not in one move.
-4x my Position size
-capture 5% of the move
-keeping the risk same.
i am still not happy because i need to verify this in every environment.
*not a buy sell advice.
And not trading as per the strategy was killing me too.
figured out a new learning and worked on that and i think for now it is good only market can validate it in the long run.
let's see.
Yesterday was a bad day(-₹8000), i just did not post anything. Check the Screenshot.
Mentally i was little upset as the nifty is falling and i am making money in short direction. how will my system perform in the trend market!
i got discouraged.
DO you get scared?
When i make profit on the day one of the week i get reluctant to trade on the following day, because i don't want to lose.
What if i get another trade right? is the only reason i should jump in.
SO, you can lose but only if the trade is worth loosing.
Today i booked ₹8000+ again with something i call as cumulative profit. as my target never usually has any logic.
The over trading still persist. Still not able to pin point where to put the limit.
*Not a buy sell advice.
If i had waited and taken entry at my set up then i would have reached to my target now. but because i could not manage to sit patiently my breakeven reduced to 2%. rookie mistake. #dumbtrader
*No buy sell advice.
wanted to grab some early cookie
made some dumb mistake like a rookie
Waiting is the way...
i felt a little uneasy, as if i want to make a profit soon.
suddenly my subconscious mind takes over and kept placing trades.
So i left the screen now. later i'll go n set the TP.
