My report for @WRNnews on #Afghanistan's #IDP women has officially been launched. The paper presents and reflects on the perspectives of a cross-section of internally displaced women in an effort to promote the inclusion of this group in the ongoing discourse around IDPs.

"Zholia Parsi, Neda Parwani, Manizha Siddiqi, and Parisa Azadah are those activist whose have been imprisoned by the Taliban for months simply for seeking their right to education and work. Recent reports on the situation of these women are very concerning. It is reported that Zholia has unfortunately been transferred to a hospital due to the severity of her health condition. Manizha Siddiqi's mother has also expressed deep concern about her daughter's condition and has requested help and support from international organizations for her release. Due to the strictness of the Taliban, there is no information available about the situation of other female prisoners. I am calling on international organizations, including UNAMA, to take urgent actions for the release of these women and other female prisoners who are in very difficult conditions in Taliban prisons."

Pakistani officials have created a coercive environment for Afghans to force them to return to life-threatening conditions in Afghanistan.
Authorities should end the abuses & give Afghans facing expulsion the opportunity to seek protection in Pakistan.

This beautiful Bamyan trip memory each year brings back happy memories but also the terrible feeling of homelessness & being far away from home. #Bamyan2015
3.7 million Afghans live in #Pakistan. Many of them are now being forced to return to crisis-wracked #Afghanistan.
So far, WFP has assisted 112,000 people with food & cash. We urgently need $16 million to support 1 million more people start over.
I am deeply disturbed by the horrible situation and dramatic loss of life in several hospitals in Gaza.
In the name of humanity, I call for an immediate humanitarian cease fire.
An emotional evening-at book launch #risingafterfall- includes stories of Afghan women after the fall. It is amazing to see Afghan women have not giving up. Most important part was meeting @haidari_batool@DearZari in person for the first time ❤️.

For Afghan children and families being sent to holding centres or across the border, @UNHCR warns of humanitarian and “human rights catastrophe”. They were refugees here, and if sent ‘back’ like this, will be like refugees there. https://t.co/kAXBtLzIup
These stats matter because it’s not just the cities. For all those #Taliban sympathizer journalists after the fall of Kabul claiming how much they had changed, what do you have to say to this?
Zan News: A report by the Gallup research institute shows that the freedoms of women and girls in Afghanistan have been severely restricted and their suffering and pain have increased.
Based on the institute's survey conducted in July, the outlook for women and girls in Afghanistan, as well as hundreds of thousands of undocumented Afghan refugee women who are being deported from Pakistan, looks extremely bleak.
In the survey, only 11% of the participants told Gallup that they were satisfied with the freedom they had been given, and 17% said they were treated with respect. However, almost all of them said that they still suffer.
The Taliban, after taking control of Afghanistan again, banned girls' students above grade six from attending school and closed the doors of universities for women and girls. They also banned women from entering parks and women's baths, and even closed women's hair salons. These measures show the severe restrictions that have been imposed on women in Afghanistan.
The survey shows that almost all women in Afghanistan are facing a difficult situation after the Taliban returned to power in the country and feel that they are not being treated with respect.

Healthcare workers gathered in front of the PM's office in London, raising placards with the names of 200+ physicians who have been killed so far.
We have just launched our form for #Afghans in #Pakistan who are in the US pathway & believe they should receive a letter showing as much. We will share the information collected with @StateDept & @DHSgov (depending on the pathway).
Please share widely!
