@IUHabeas Wow, interesting comparison to what's happening in Lexington rn. Its always been a basketball town. There is a famous story about Bear Bryant being gifted a watch and Rupp a Cadillac & then his departure. Now there are stats comparing those days and lots of attention.
@IanRunkle I was under the impression that guilty but mentally ill meant time would be served in an institution other than prison. But maybe that is only until deemed no longer a danger? R. Exantus was recently released from prison after serving his sentence.
@IanRunkle I'd love for you to do a stream on the Ronald Exantus case. It's in my home state and I still dont clearly understand the law. We have NGRI and also Guilty but mentally ill. He was found NGRI by one jury of murder & GMI by another for assault for the same incident.
@IanRunkle@TheFollowingPro NGRI should NOT even exist in the law. Yes I said it. It should only be Guilty but mentally ill! Proper penalties are then applied. 3 life sentences can be served in a secure psychiatric inst. Otherwise, nothing prevents a person from harming another child. Ex. R. Exantus
@TheBrancaShow Is Ronald Exantus innocent? Hell no! We should be long past even having the possibility of not guilty by insanity. Guilty but mental ill should be the only other option and it should still get a life sentence somewhere.
@MasonRichB @Cheering4Change This is a new law for Congressional seats. Prior to 2024, the Governor appointed a replacement until the next regular election.
@aburkhartlaw@IanRunkle I turned on Perry Mason and heard "the bullet collected was a .38 caliber and a Smith & Wesson 38 was found in the defendants glove compartment." We have not advance from that, no matter how much we pretend. Ironically, I'm betting defense 1st said, hey not my .38, see! Haha
@IanRunkle Jif/gif started as an age thing. Once upon a time/in the olden days/when the file was first created it was jif. Like everything interweb becoming popular made it gif. Sorry, it's forever a jif to me no matter how many times my son yells gif. ππ
@awireman I'm sorry to say the NCAA reputation for getting things right the 1st time is not great. I remember when the scandal was Wildcat Lodge and players getting better common areas and bigger beds than other students. We've come a long way from that. Haha
