A human wakes up in a dog's body. Something is wrong—and the cats are watching.
This is Barking Glitch, a 2D mobile idle RPG I'm building in Godot.
Starting from zero. I'll share small milestones, mistakes and the first playable prototype here.

Still a human trapped in a dog’s body. Now with a progression loop. 🐶
Win fights → Credits → upgrade damage → tougher cats.
Barking Glitch also has auto-repeat, saved progress, and a cleaner battle screen.
Placeholder art. Increasingly capable dog.

@RevStudioGames Hey! Sorry for late reply, work kept me away for a few days 😅
Auto-attacks will stay automatic — it's an idle RPG after all! 🐶
Manual special abilities are an interesting idea, though. Still exploring that!
Would you prefer fully idle combat or a bit of player interaction?
He can fight on his own now. Still no idea why he's a dog.
Auto-attacks are working in Barking Glitch 🐶
One suspicious cat defeated. The mystery remains.
Early prototype, placeholder art.

@GamewithDave Very very very early look at Barking Glitch 🐶 A mobile idle RPG in development, where a human consciousness glitches into a dog’s body—and cats might know why. Placeholder art for now! Thanks for giving projects like mine a nice place to share!
Small step for Barking Glitch 🐶
The first local save works: +1, close the game, relaunch… the value is still there.
Placeholder art. Stronger foundations. I hope.

Barking Glitch now launches in Godot! Next up: local saves—a small counter that remembers its value after restarting. One small step toward the first playable prototype. #GodotEngine#indiedev
@IndieGameJoe The art style is simple but super effective, and those portal physics look incredible! Seeing the main character through the portal is such an awesome touch :) Looks awesome!
