@ErbunnNinja No idea. But locking the people for who it is the best idea further in seems an obvious mistake. Incentivizing/encouraging people to pair up MIGHT be a good idea but exacting a large monetary bill/fee to unpair can’t possibly be a good idea.
@ErbunnNinja What is the good it might cause? And how is that lost by NOT imposing a heavy financial penalty on people whose best decision is to end their relationship?
@ErbunnNinja I think you have underestimated a lot here. From how frequent those scenarios are, to how much a clause would help over a sizeable chunk of money, to legal help available to disadvantaged, to what kind of proof you would need to fulfill those clauses. It’s a very bad idea
@ErbunnNinja most damaging would likely be the help it hands abusers in trapping spouses and kids from escaping the abuse. Also plenty of just unhealthy living situations of parents who hate each-other but can’t afford to go. All hitting these with the least ability to afford it the most
