An Emergency Response Drill was conducted today across the district.

The drill was activated through the District Control Room by creating a hypothetical emergency scenario to assess the preparedness and response capability of the force.

It was ensured that all communication during the exercise was carried out exclusively through wireless sets.

All GOs, SHOs, and concerned Incharges promptly moved to the field and responded as per the assigned roles.

The overall response time was found to be satisfactory, though there remains scope for further improvement through regular practice.

To further strengthen preparedness, a District Emergency Response SOP Booklet has already been prepared and circulated to familiarize all ranks with the drill mechanism and their respective responsibilities during emergencies.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused were in contact with cross-border smugglers and were allegedly receiving consignments of heroin for further distribution to criminal elements in #Punjab.
