@camhepi It was a pathetically desperate short-term decision. Not to mention morally reprehensible. For a club who hang their hat on data, they shit the bed on the basis of “the style of football” according to Sormaz.
Neill Collins must be laughing his tits off and rightly so, the club deserve everything that’s happened since the villainous move to sack him.
And those who called for his head must be ever so proud.
@camhepi No. Regardless of the style of football, you don’t sack the manager, whoever they are, who has you in sixth with a game to go. Absolutely embarrassing. That’s why the club deserve the decline in my view.
“Would’ve stood no chance in play-offs” is conjecture so irrelevant 👍
@R1chHammond The villainy was in the timing. It was an unprecedented panic move. Anyone in the play offs after matchday 45 deserves matchday 46, regardless of form or whether their football was boring or whatever. That’s my assertion.
That’s why I believe the club deserve the decline.
@Alex_Red_87 This isn’t about what would have happened. Nobody can say so it’s pointless speculating.
This is about the immorality of sacking a man who had the club in the play-offs offs with a game to go.
Try not to confuse this as some sort of assertion on the would-be fortunes of the club if they hadn’t sacked Neill Collins. It’s nothing of the sort.
I’m merely saying what the club did, particularly the timing of it, deserves the decline it’s endured since.

Last chance before the reveal.
