The Jets' treatment of Ehlers as a second thought who needed to be sparingly deployed with sheltering was a joke all along and I'm glad they're getting shown up for it
Per NHL stats: * Nikolaj Ehlers scored 25 seconds into Game 1, marking the third-fastest Stanley Cup Final-opening goal in history. The only ones faster: Sid Smith with the 1951 Maple Leafs (0:15 vs. MTL) and Reggie Leach with the 1976 Flyers (0:21 at MTL).
@JohnnyGiunta_@_bkuh_ It’s kind of the issue with all of downtown TO. I don’t live in Toronto (Winnipegger) but I try to not really spend anytime in the downtown core cuz it feels so corporate and soulless (Trinity-Bellwoods slaps tho)
@Ciportom@DJ_Biff_WPG This is Chevy’s life’s work. If he tears this down, it’s like he’s admitting he was wrong and admitting defeat. His ego could never handle that.
@WPGMurat I think he struggled at the start of 24-25 as well. He’s lost a step and he’s never been fleet of foot to begin with and I thought that was very noticeable in his rush defense and puck retrievals this year.
