My friend said she didn't have 2k to give me but she had to borrow me till whenever I have.

I've been friends with Sandra for almost a decade. One thing I noticed is she never gives money.

She can cook for you, spend time with you and encourage you but when it comes to money, she never has. She'd not go Extra for you at all.

Every birthday she's expecting something from me. Even for her boys, I always send a gift or money. I never got anything from her. Instead she'd cook and tell me to come eat.

This year I decided it has to stop. Last week I gave her the final test. She just bought a wig a few days back and told me she had some money.

I told her I was really low on cash that I just needed urgent 2k.
She immediately said if it's borrow I have.
How much do you want to borrow. I told her no, I don't want borrow, dash me what you have or can spare.

She said she doesn't have. That it's her business money 🤣.

My mum made stew. My dad said it's sour and tastes somehow.

So yesterday, as we were eating, my dad says the stew doesn't taste like his wife's stew that he's used to.

In my mum's defence, I said no, that maybe it's his mouth or taste buds because when you have malaria or your mouth is bitter, nothing will taste good.

My mum didn't say anything. She just nodded in agreement to what I said 😂.

Tell me why today, my mum randomly says, she wants to go and buy tomatoes and pepper that the one she made yesterday is tasting sour.😂😂

Brother, be careful not to use Scripture as if it were a brake on the improvement of things.

The world we live in now is already the futuristic world that would have seemed impossible to some generations before us.

It even seems to me that the Scriptures foresaw interplanetary life.

Pay attention to what this passage says:

“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven.”

God is not against improvement. He is against the idolatry of placing anything above God on the throne of our heart.

I am more concerned about some signs of idolatry in the video, such as New Olympus appearing there, as a clear announcement of “the victory of humans over the gods.”

We are having this conversation over the Internet, a technology that was impossible in the past, but it is God who gives wisdom to create these things. The point here is to keep creation subjected to man, as was God’s plan, and to keep God above us in the heart, as is God’s commandment.

When Adam and Eve followed the serpent’s counsel, they put the animals above themselves and God below them. That inversion of hierarchy is a clear mark of sin. Let us make sure that technology serves us instead of us serving it. And let us make sure that we serve God instead of perverting this order.

Glory to God for the wisdom He gives us. Let us use it with the fear of God, with faith, with obedience to the Bible, and with the love it commands us to have for God and for people.
