Former Giants RB Saquon Barkley reached agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles on a three-year, $37.75 million contract that could be worth up to $46.75M and includes $26M fully guaranteed at signing, per sources.
Barkley now beats the franchise tag number and has a maximum average-per-year salary of $15.833M, which would be second highest for a RB in NFL History.
Jason Kelce: “Some people struggle to play in this city. They can’t handle the boos, the media, or our fans. I consider it a blessing to play in the most passionate sports town in America.. If you’re not performing, they will let you know. But as long as you show effort, they will love you.. They’re not gonna accept your excuses and soft-ass nonsense.”
Trade: After using their top pick on RB Jahmyr Gibbs, the Lions are trading D’Andre Swift to the Philadelphia Eagles, per sources. The trade is a homecoming; Swift is from Philadelphia and went to high school there at St. Joseph’s Prep before attending, of course, Georgia.
