@ansonmount @Adam_FaithfulM It's a symbolic thing. Christ brought light into the world. Everyday after his birthday(the winter solstice) it gets brighter. The Christian celebration merged with the preexisting pagan traditions. Makes sense from a mental health POV to have a party in the depths of winter.
