Greenland has nothing to do with US security policy. This is because Trump is an idiot, and he is very excited about taking this huge area he sees on a map, and he uses “security” as an excuse to hide his idiotic idea.

And then we have people like JD Vance and Marco Rubio. They come up with all these weird excuses. The US already has access to Greenland. The US already has bases in Greenland, and Denmark says the US can expand this as much as it wants. Denmark is willing to cooperate economically no matter what.

This is just a fever dream Trump has, and all the cowards around him are coming up with excuses, because the only explanation is really dumb: the president is an idiot, and they are all trying to manufacture justifications. But the real answer is that the president is an idiot, and this is going to punish the United States very hard.
