Today marks my 10 year paid anniversary in the ambulance service but my journey began in 2008 as a CFR before joining as a student paramedic in 2015 and now studying a Masters, and working in a specialist team within EEAST @EEAST_UrgCare
@Aidan_Baron The urgent care team carry them in our service. Readon restricting it to the UC teams is due to cost of strips with out devices as we use the same device for ketones and blood glucose
@EEAST_OpSupport Looking really good and canโt wait to get hands on one of these or EV version like (if these been sorted aswell) as loved the EV we trialled.
@EEAST_OpSupport@Ambo_Matt@spinebase@StrykerEC@ant_brett Such as not but the manual handling equipment behind a chair you have to lean and twist over - hope in new vehicles this issue has been resolved - but liking the pics of the new fleet canโt wait for new rrvs to hit the road - involved in the trial on the EVR and was immense
Woohoo - first MSc module complete - portfolio passed and essay mark 62% chuffed with that as not the best at academic writing only 6 more modules to go
@EEAST_OpSupport The electric Skoda such nice drive and good vehicle with plenty of space - how not too many changes to it before they come on the road
@Northernmedic (UK) We did but it was removed and just a outcome box refused treatment/transport and then a manor comes up ensure capacity assessment has been completed
Today was a bit of different day, clinical assessments, uni meeting and also delivering a short presentation to colleagues. One shift but so much variety. The new role is versatile and good to see development and learning from each other #CPD#TraineeACP@EEAST_UrgCare
@EEAST_UrgCare@EEAST_OpSupport @HeyTomAbell @EastEnglandAmb Talking about this the other day and how a van style be better for UC compared to current RRVs - would be good if chance for UC clinicians be involved in processes
@samdharrison@EEAST_OpSupport@EastEnglandAmb @HeyTomAbell I donโt kind the power chair but can only be used in limited circumstances and what we call the โcarry chairโ isnโt actually a carry chair if you read the manual it is a track chair hence no curved handle like the previous carry chairs
