Collector/researcher of John Barrymore, America's Greatest Actor. My book 'What we did on our Honeymoon' a limited edition photo scrapbook & collectors' item!
A standout starred review 🌟 from @LibraryJournal praises biographer Terry Chester Shulman for the “superb balance and skill” he brings in his presentation of the life and lore of legendary stage and screen actor John Barrymore: https://t.co/se9yiHszco
Heads up to @WarnerArchive don't you think that a remastered blu-ray release celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Don Juan starring John Barrymore & Mary Astor which had its premier at the Warner Theatre in New York on August 6 1926, would've been special as well as LONG OVERDUE?
Just added a new Barrymore Exhibit page on my John Barrymore collection website which displays my favorite telegram from Ned Sheldon that ends with his immortal words "Dear Jack I am glad at least you have a monkey"

All eyes on our blue planet this #WorldOceanDay.
The ocean connects every coastline, every community, and every one of us. When people come together with a shared purpose, we can protect the waters that sustain life, strengthen communities, and inspire action across the globe.
“Many small people, in many small places, doing many small things, can change the face of the world.” — African proverb
“Many drops make a mighty ocean.” — Japanese proverb
“One broomstick breaks easily, but the bundle is strong.” — Kenyan proverb
This #WorldOceanDay, let’s stand together for a thriving ocean and a healthier future for our planet.

P.S. A gentle reminder to drop the “s” — we share one interconnected ocean that unites us all. Thinking of it as one global ocean helps inspire the cooperation and collective action needed to protect it for future generations.

As far as I'm concerned, this movie is responsible for raising me as a 'Barrymore' since 1997. Call it love at first sight or destiny but either way, Grand Hotel has an awful lot to answer for in my book.....
What do you, personally, think about Grand Hotel (1932)?
My rather unpopular consensus: Joan Crawford (the star of the show IMO) and Lionel Barrymore are the only reasons to watch. As far as I’m concerned, they’re the only two in the whole thing who seem to even be awake… and I am as big a fan of John Barrymore and Greta Garbo as anyone. They simply “Benadryl” me in this one.
Killer poster though!
@midgeure1 Why I keep on seeing your posts on my timeline when I don't even follow you is a mystery but anyways can I just suggest that your 'Man of two Words?' might be F..k off?
@HowardsForever Yeah he had a fancy yacht and Lynne wanted to help as crew for a race but he wanted her for another reason! Wonderful strong portrayal of a woman who loves sailing-just like her Dad!
