On Friday, October 11, 2024, the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation led by its Board Chairman, Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II, Otumfuo Hiahene joined other dignitaries to cut sod for the construction of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence at Ejisu Kwaso in the Ejisu Municipality.

The Comprehensive Cancer Centre of Excellence (CCCoE) will provide the much-needed dedicated facility for cancer care, prevention, awareness creation, diagnostics, screening, treatment, research, training, education, telemedicine, Al Hub, palliative care and rehabilitation including survivorship, for all cancers.

The phase one which is estimated at the cost of $10 Million will commence after the Sod-cutting ceremony by His Majesty, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu l - the Chief Patron of the Comprehensive Cancer Centre of Excellence (CCCoE).

The key components comprise Clinical Services (Radiotherapy suite), Research Wing, Al Hub, Education Centre and Community Outreach.
