South Africa’s Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie has reacted strongly to reports involving referee Omar Artan and claims about a diplomatic passport.
He told Robert Marawa:
“The information we got is that this ref (Omar Artan) travelled on a diplomatic passport. He’s not a diplomat. Let’s start there. Even if I am the President, I’ll not allow him in the country. What is this ref doing with a diplomatic passport? Is he a politician?”

Dangote Refinery has begun direct aviation fuel deliveries to Ethiopian Airlines amid tightening global energy markets and geopolitical tensions.
The refinery says it is operating at full capacity, enabling exports of jet fuel, diesel, and petrol to multiple African and international markets.
Strong margins in Europe and rising crude prices have boosted export demand, even as local airlines face higher operating costs.
The facility continues to position Nigeria as a net exporter of refined products while supporting regional fuel stability.
Flying between African cities forces many travelers to transit outside the continent, through London, Paris or Dubai. But a $12.5 billion airport under construction in Ethiopia could help change that. https://t.co/JhvEkPkWGO
"I have ordered the United States Navy to shoot and kill any boat, small boats though they may be (Their naval ships are ALL, 159 of them, at the bottom of the sea!), that is putting mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. There is to be no hesitation." - President Donald J. Trump 🇺🇸
BREAKING: Iran's Foreign Minister says passage for Vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is now officially 'declared completely open':
"In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire."
Nigeria's first Ambassador to the United Nations. He became famous after he "slept" during a UN meeting in 1960.
But here's the catch:
He wasn't sleeping, he was denied the opportunity to express his displeasure over a ricist comment and he in return pretended to be sleeping.
"It was Emmanuel Macron's stupidity that opened the eyes of Africans. One thing is certain, if France 🇫🇷 loses its colonies, our children and grandchildren will go to Africa in search of their livelihoods. Immigration will change direction. Macron needs to go or France will sūffer. Europe need to unite to fíğħț this new African vision from Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso and other countries will follow suit. If one of the puschists' goes down, the others will abandon the vision. Africa has no history therefore, Africa cannot run the world.” ~ Former French Economy Minister Thierry Breton
It’s high time the AES strengthen their security and protect our own.
Forced conscription into the Ethiopian army, which had been paused a few months ago following alarming reports by media outlets and advocacy groups, including the government-appointed Human Rights Commission, has now resumed at full scale.
Young men are being rounded up from streets, schools, and their homes, loaded onto trucks, and transported to military training centers. This is happening across Oromia, including in major cities like Adama and Shashemene. As in the past, those whose parents could afford can secure their release by paying hefty ransom.
The mass forced conscription is reportedly aimed at replenishing the army, which has suffered heavy losses in the ongoing civil wars in Oromia and the Amhara regions in recent weeks, as well as preparing for a potential war with Eritrea.
Meanwhile, senior army generals are busy broadcasting daily propaganda about their success in building a “professional” force capable of delivering “world-class”military victories. The irony is impossible to ignore.
❤️🤍 Mikel Arteta: “Bukayo Saka is so humble, so simple and very committed to the club”.
“He has very deep roots connected to this football club and with a lot of people here. I'm very glad to hear that he wants to stay with us and win with us”.
