@bvschools It doesn’t make sense, we are one of the best school districts in the state but yet when it comes to the idea of safety, we are the worst school district in the state and even nation.
Currently 0 for 5 on making the right calls for our district.
@bvschools Close all Blue Valley Schools tomorrow, January 26. 10+ inches of snow & -8°F wind chill make roads and conditions unsafe for students/staff. A DELAYED START WON’T FIX THE ROADS. Safety MUST be the priority! Close all Blue Valley schools tomorrow, January 26 to ensure safety.
@bvschools 🚨 BLUE VALLEY PARENTS & STUDENTS 🚨
If BV doesn’t cancel school tomorrow I’m personally calling a district-wide SNOW DAY REVOLUTION so no one show up to school.
Ya'll ready for this?
Keep in mind this isn't Christmas, you won't wake up to 6" of snow on the ground Saturday morning. It will accumulate Friday night-Sunday morning.

@MrsJenniferReid @BobbyBuckets09@bvschools Oh wow, “tough” kids? You mean the ones whose district kept school open in temperatures so bad it turned the roads into a demolition derby and wrecked a bunch of teen drivers’ cars?
Real solid education system, teaching resilience by risking frostbite and fender-benders.
@MrsJenniferReid @BobbyBuckets09@bvschools Newsflash - nobody asked for your “you’ll be okay, I suffered so you will too” TED Talk. -25°F with school still in session isn’t a personality trait, it’s just bad urban planning and negligent adults. Congrats on surviving negligent adults, I guess? Truly inspiring.
@bvschools I don’t understand why you all are so scared of using up the implemented snow days built into each school year for inclement weather like this This is our last storm for winter this season so why not just use up some of the snow days.
@bvschools Due to dangerously low temperatures and an incoming winter storm creating hazardous travel conditions, we strongly recommend canceling school tomorrow for all Blue Valley Schools in Overland Park, KS. The safety of students, staff, and families must remain the top priority.
