@GHWBwasGay Current President getting advice from a future President that contains a proposal involving the person the future President will select as Vice President...who will then follow him as President. Pretty cool.
Trump has turned the White House into a 24/7 corruption operation. This is a national crisis.
Trump thinks the public will stop paying attention.
So I went to the Senate floor to call his bluff. I told the ENTIRE STORY of his 500 days of corruption.
1/ Here it is - in one🧵
@CNNPolitics@STPFreak Coincidentally, I'm visiting DC and noticed the algae after visiting the WW2 memorial today. Funny to read this just hours later.
'Henry Ford...got workers into a position where they could actually afford the vehicles they were building.'
This is the model companies are reversing today. They are laying off potential customers in favor of AI efficiency. How does it end well for shareholders or employees?
Teddy Roosevelt told John D.Rockefeller - you can’t have two and a half percent of the country’s GDP.
I’m breaking you up and you need to raise the income standards for your workers.
Henry Ford responded to that pressure. He got workers into a position where they could actually afford the vehicles they were building.
We don’t need AOC going on television saying you can’t make a billion dollars legally.
JK Rowling wrote a book that 100 million people chose to buy.
She earned every penny. Don’t talk like an imbecile.
Think like Teddy Roosevelt instead.
May 27, 1986: The Fog of Baseball⚾️
Fog rolls into Municipal Stadium
Indians game can't continue, called in 6th inning w/ Tribe trailing BoSox 2-0
Dennis 'Oil Can' Boyd famously summarized: "when you build a building on ocean, what do you expect?"
#Fog
That’s the first time in franchise history — which dates to 1901 — in which the Guardians won a game 1-0 with the run coming on a pinch-hit home run, per the Elias Sports Bureau.
I'm worried that Trump will launch a war on Cuba, to distract attention from his war on Iran, which distracted attention from his war on Venezuela, which distracted attention from the Epstein files
Happy 84th Birthday, Leroy Kelly!
The #Browns' versatile Hall of Fame weapon, and second all-time leading rusher and touchdown scorer
An eighth-round pick out of Morgan State in 1964, he began his pro career as a punt returner — returning three for touchdowns in his first two years.
In 1966, Leroy filled the huge backfield void left following Jim Brown's retirement.
All Kelly did from 1966-68 was finish second, first, and first in the NFL in rushing yards, while leading the league in rushing TDs all three years.
He became just the third player in NFL history with three consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons.
A 1960s All-Decade selection, 6x Pro Bowler, 5x First-Team All-Pro, and 1964 NFL Champion
The Russians want Ukraine’s permission to hold their parade – so they can safely take to the square for an hour once a year, and then go back to killing *our* people and waging war. The Russians are already talking about strikes after May 9. A strange and certainly twisted logic from the Russian leadership.
There are also messages from some states close to Russia that their representatives intend to be in Moscow. An odd desire at a time like this. We do not recommend it.
@FoodNetwork@chefsymon I am no cook, though I scramble eggs every weekend. My recipe and technique could not be more different. I use Pam rather than butter, I heat up the pan well before cooking, and I keep them on the stove until they're firm. To each their own.
@RickJacksonGA I really want this guy to win the Republican primary. I think that creates the best chance for Dems in November. He comes off as cringy and unhinged.
In 1957, Mike Wallace told Eleanor Roosevelt that Frank Lloyd Wright believed the United States was in grave danger of collapse. She disagreed — and pointed to the one thing that had always made the difference.
@Jimfrombaseball Progressive Field in Cleveland has a restaurant with memorabilia from Indians/Guardians history. The Bob Feller bat that The Babe is leaning on in this picture is there.
Suozzi: The president’s like a pickpocket. And what do pickpockets do? One guy bumps into you, and when you’re bumped into and you’re distracted, the other guy picks your pocket. So he’ll talk about crazy stuff. Health insurance rates are going through the roof.
And we were trying to deal with the premium tax credit issue and the cuts to Medicaid. And what did he make the issue? Venezuela and Greenland.
@EByner Hey Earnest. Lifelong #Browns fan here, now living in your hometown. I'd been here a couple years before learning you are from Milledgeville. And found out last week there's a street named after you. Love it!
